      UPDATE 2012

      Just received word that Paul Magill passed peaceably into the Lord’s presence on Sunday, January 22. Paul is in both pictures. His classmates will sorely miss him. Our thoughts & prayers are with his wife & family as they mourn his loss.

        From Dean Sparks (via e-mail):

        Paul was admired by everyone who knew him. He traveled the road less traveled, and has reached the place we all hope to be. As I reflected on my own memories of Paul, I was drawn to a passage in Isaiah 35 in Eugene Peterson’s contemporary language edition of The Message. This is how I would paraphrase Isaiah 35:8-10, as I see it related to Paul;

        There will be a highway called the Holy Road,
        It is for God’s people exclusively,
        The people God has ransomed will come back on this road,
        They’ll sing as they make their way home to Zion,
        Unfading halos of joy encircling their heads,
        Welcomed home with gifts of joy and gladness as all sorrows &
        sighs scurry into the night.

        Rest well our friend in His steadfast love,
        Dean
